Discover Tignes

Tignes is a high-altitude ski resort in the French Alps, with villages sitting at 2,100 metres and ski lifts reaching up to 3,456 metres on the Grande Motte Glacier. Thanks to its elevation and glacier access, Tignes offers excellent snow conditions and one of the longest ski seasons in Europe, typically running from late November to early May.

As part of the renowned Espace Killy ski area, shared with Val d’Isere, Tignes gives skiers and snowboarders access to over 300 km of pistes. There is a great mix of terrain for all ability levels, from gentle beginner slopes and wide blue runs to steep black pistes and off-piste routes. The resort also features snowparks, a superpipe, and freeride zones that are popular with freestyle skiers and snowboarders.

Tignes is known for its lively atmosphere and active events calendar, making it a favourite among students, young groups, and festival-goers. From music festivals on the snow to university ski trips, there’s always something happening both on and off the mountain. At the same time, families are well catered for with ski schools, dedicated beginner areas, and plenty of off-slope activities.

After a day on the slopes, visitors can relax in one of Tignes’ many mountain restaurants, unwind in a spa, or enjoy apres-ski in the vibrant bars and venues around Val Claret and Tignes Le Lac.If you’re looking for guaranteed snow, high-altitude skiing, and a resort with both energy and variety, Tignes is an excellent choice.
