The most important thing to note is that travelling on a Saturday will take longer due to traffic congestion. The roads to the Three Valleys can be very busy on Saturdays between 0700 to 1600. Travelling on weekdays or a Sunday can reduce the journey time substantially. On a Saturday, Lyon to Courchevel could easily take 4 hours or more whereas on another day of the week it could be less than 3 hours. It is important to factor in that Saturday travel may often take longer.
